Side of Hunter Glassing Game in Verde Camouflage in Pine Forest

The Making of Verde Camo

INTRODUCED IN 2012

KUIU Verde expands our concealment options into landscapes dominated with green vegetation. In 2016, Verde received a 3-prong tune-up and given a larger macro pattern for better high-contrast break up at long distance, micro detailing for improved close-range concealment, and an optimized color palette for effective shadowing. Read on to learn more on Verde Camo.

CONCEALMENT AT ANY DISTANCE

At long range distances, most camo patterns blob and appear as one color. On the heels of Vias camo, Verde was updated with a similar large macro pattern to retained breakup beyond 200+ yards. Along with the update, Verde introduced a new micro pattern for close range concealment. This combined macro/micro patterning optimized concealment regardless of the distance from game.

WHEN AND WHERE VERDE IS BEST

Visually, Verde works best for any environment with predominately green vegetation and new growth.

• Green open tundra

• Wet environments

• Evergreen dark timber

• Forest canopy

• Spring green up

THERE'S MORE TO IT THAN JUST THE PATTERN

There’s more to concealment than just the pattern. The construction and application to the fabric are of equal consideration.

Many camo patterns on the market today use heat sublimation to apply their pattern. Though it can be photo-realistic, it uses high heat to transfer dye to the fabrics. This heat process can change the fabric’s composition and integrity by essentially melting the dye into the fabric. This process can result in a sheen that highlights your every move.

At KUIU, we do not sublimate our patterns. We use a wet print process to dye the pattern into the fabric. The quality fabrics we use are not compromised by this process. The result is added durability and a low sheen which is ideal for hunting.
