Our Reason Why: Hunt Expos

Our Reason Why: Hunt Expos

We see hunt expos as a two-way street. They're face-to-face opportunities to connect and carry on our day one belief: listen to hunters' needs and exceed their demands. Every ounce saved, new high or low temp outlasted, and light work made of heavy pack outs are notes on how we can improve the lethality of our lineups. While others focus on a 50-yard dash of sales, we see the trade show circuit as one of the sharpest tools for honing the bleeding edge performance our gear is expected to deliver.

"I spent over 200 days in the field last year. Some were fair and some were rough. Sharing my experience to help other hunters and serve the brand that serves me isn't just an honor, it's the least I can do."

-Lucas Paugh, California, Guide, HF hunt Consultant and KUIU Booth Staffer

In the days of instant intel and on-demand expertise, this show floor feedback—workworn hands testing our materials, discerning eyes studying our stitching, retellings of hard-earned hunt experiences—isn't just shoptalk, it's the reason we're able to offer gear that fades into the background while it's used.

"Besides producing the best hunting gear there is, KUIU's strongest quality is the people they surround themselves with. Every one of us shares a love for hunting and truly want our fellow hunters to be successful."

-Claudia Schmidt, Montana, Guide and KUIU Booth Staffer

It's been especially telling to see the discipline-specific response across the hunt community. Mountain hunters scrutinizing how it was possible to beat a good thing like the Guide DCS with the new Guide Pro. Whitetail hunters withstanding below freezing, all-day stand scenarios in the Super Down Haven. Wingshooters meticulously examining our expanding waterfowl, upland and turkey systems.

"The thread through all KUIU customers is they're honest, hardworking, and genuine people who want to have a good hunt. Working the KUIU booth makes me feel like I'll be there with them, and that's why I care so much about getting them ready."

-Jodi Anderson, South Dakota, Guide and KUIU Booth Staffer

We encourage everyone who stops in to take full advantage of working with our crew of KUIU Guides and Outfitters and product experts. From the crags of Alaska to the eastern hardwoods and southern wetlands, these grizzled hunters bring their expertise from the backcountry to the booth. They're not "influencers"—they're hunters who push our gear past the breaking point to ensure what you invest in is truly hunt-ready.

"We don't have 'Pro Staffers' or 'influencers' at KUIU. We look to real hunters with real hunt experience to answer your questions and set you up for success anywhere in the world."

-Justin Shaffer, Alaska, KUIU Senior Director for Guide and Outfitter Operations

Trying on KUIU has become a rite of passage for discerning hunters, and each time another tradeshow tour ends, know that your insights are already being poured into our design lab and field-tested in the exact terrain where you'll put them to work. This year's conversations become next year's breakthroughs—thanks to you.

"I've heard it more times than I can count. Lifelong hunters telling us about their closets, packed full of KUIU. The fact that they still make a stop to see what's new and ask what’s in the pipeline is proof that good gear attracts good hunters."

Frank Sanders, Alaska, Outfitter and KUIU Booth Staffer
