Sized for weeklong backcountry hunts, the ICON 6 6000 stows your complete gear list, rifle or bow, and a full week of food. The full horseshoe zipper with next-to-frame access allows easy reach into the main compartment. Run it lidless and compressed for excellent maneuverability while hunting.

Icon 6-6000 pack

"I have been running an Icon Pro 5200 for about eight years. Was always happy with how it performed on one to three day trips into the backcountry. Needed something a little bigger for a seven day Goat hunt. This pack is very adjustable for fit. If you follow Kuiu's instructions, and spend a few hours working with it you will find the comfort and load distribution to be exceptional. Load haul mode is easy if you do it a time or two. Another great, user friendly product from Kuiu!"

"Worked well for getting my elk. A little awkward for the quarters--need to work on using the load hauler piece. Need a built in shelf. Did carry weight easily."

Kodiak Elk and Blacktail Approved

"My buddy drew the Elk tag on Raspberry Island and I picked up a Deer tag. Knew we would be packing out a lot of weight so I wanted to upgrade from my pre-2017 pack. My buddy shot a giant Bull and we packed it out over the course of 3 days. Just the 2 of us. I put the meat and quarters directly into the bag. Was really impressed with how it carried the weight. The greatest thing about this pack tho is the ability to carry the rifle inside the pack up against your back. I have a folding chassis and the barrel sits right at the top of my head. So going through thick alders and brush was a breeze. And it makes the rifle seem so much lighter carrying it up against your back vs on the side of the pack or slung on your shoulder. I also shot a monster 200lb blacktail all the way at the top of the mountain and we packed it out between the 2 of us in one trip down the steep mountain in the rain in the dark. Was really glad I decided to upgrade my pack."

"Put it to the test today. Full to the seams load-out plus additional load in between the frame and pack. 94. 7lbs. Extremely rugged terrain with extremely dense timber, deadfall, brush oak, and shale rocks. Steep climbs and descents; essentially the roughest country Colorado offers. The pack itself performed above expectations, and proved to be extremely durable in the roughest conditions. This pack outlasted my other gear and body regarding the stuff I was pushing through. Tore clothes and skin, but the pack went through it all unscathed after a straight 6hr push. Zippers held even when I thought they had no chance with as much was packed in. Same with the buckles. Everything preformed well on this pack. Great overall experience with the pack; not so much with the rest of the day."

More stable carrying weight

"I have always loved the comfort of the Kuiu packs, and the great pockets and organization of the bags, but the old pro packs just swayed too much with the narrow frame. The new Icon 6000 I'm using is the best of both worlds. It's so much more stable, with the same comfort and easy to use bags. I love it!"

Amazing

"I love this pack. I will say I have not been able to take it out on a hunt yet but I have been loading it up with 75lbs for sand bags and hiking with it. I usually do about 3 miles a night with it, hiking a pretty hilly driveway to help get in shape for my hunt, and it is absolutely amazing. The very first thing I noticed is how well and comfortably it carries the weight. Second thing I noticed was how I was able to carry the weight standing straight up, my old pack made me want to lean forward quite a bit. I am really excited to put this pack to work on my elk hunt this October. If your considering getting this pack buy it and you won't be let down!"

Q&A

Which packs are built to carry your rifle also.
All of the Icon 6 packs will include a quick release rifle holder attachment or you can put the rifle in the side stuff it pockets and use a compression strap to secure it to the pack if you prefer that option
