Toray's 3DeFX+® insulation has opened the door for an entirely new type of highly breathable insulation for active use, which is perfect for cold weather mountain hunting applications. The 3DeFX+® synthetic insulation is the first of its kind to incorporate continuous fiber technology. The long spiral strands of fill are loftier and warmer than any other synthetic insulation on the market.

The Kenai Beanie features 70 x 80D Stunner Stretch nylon face fabric that's extremely durable, strong, and coated to make it windproof and water resistant. A high loft Sherpa fleece lining makes the interior incredibly warm and comfortable. Hearing can be critical to success, so we placed uncoated twill fabric over the ears for improved sound travel. Designed with all the right characteristics, the Kenai Beanie is a must have for late season hunting.

Drastic stop-and-go activity levels can cause a buildup of sweat, leaving you chilled when you’re stationary. To mitigate this issue, breathable 3DeFX+ active insulation evaporates moisture while you’re active. Its continuous insulating fibers eliminate the ends that poke through the fabric, allowing us to spec a quieter uncoated fabric, giving you the ideal insulating layer for active hunts.

K DWR® (KUIU DURABLE WATER RESISTANT)

Once a fabric is soaked, insulation and breathability are compromised. KUIU’s Durable Water Repellent (K-DWR) treatments bead and resist water, keeping it from penetrating the outer layer. This increased breathability and performance allow waterproof membranes to evaporate your sweat while blocking out moisture. K-DWR also enhances dry-time and protects from light rain or dew-soaked vegetation on non-waterproof products.
