"The fit and comfort of these shorts are spot on! Unfortunately though that comfort comes with a drawback. Because the material is so thin and breathable (huge pro) the stitching and material durability is lacking. I’ve had these shorts for maybe 2 weeks and there are visible signs where the stitches have torn."

"I am a full time offshore sportfishing captain , for the last 3 years I have worn these shorts daily. I put these shorts and pants through the test. The 7 inch inseams are perfect for day to day, classic look and pair well with a polo style shirt or you can pair it with the Gila LS hoodie for the ultimate offshore comfort and sun protection. I can’t say enough for these pants and the rest of my KUIU gear that I wear everyday. Fit is true to size . Best hot weather short in the industry in my experience and I’ve worn them all."

Showing the same pocket wear as my Kutana shorts

"I bought these Tiburon shorts for $99 in 2025. After only about a year of normal use, they are showing noticeable wear in the same front pocket area where my Kutana shorts have also failed. The only item routinely carried there is my cell phone. Given the price and KUIU’s reputation for durable technical clothing, I expected much better wear resistance and longevity. KUIU denied my warranty claim as “abrasion” and referred me to a paid repair service."

Tiburon hiking pants are awesome.

"This pair of Tiburon pants is the most beautifully finished article of clothing, I have ever owned. All the pockets and belt loops are perfec...that is why I was really surprised to see the fly zipper was so ridiculously short it was difficult to go to the toilet. Why is this ?"

"Not for men with butts. There was no room in the crotch area. They look and feel really nice and are a great length and fit on the legs but not comfortable up top."

Great for Thicker Legs and Larger Butt

"I'm 6' 5" and 270lbs. I wear a 42 waist and have a good size booty and thicker thighs. These shorts are one of few quality brands that fit me well and are comfortable (not restrictive). The fabric is soft and flexible but tough. I wish the pocket on the right leg was just a long narrow slip-in cell phone pocket instead of a large zipper pocket which my phone turns sideways in but that's not a deal-breaker. Otherwise, these are awesome."

Good Shorts Overall

"Overall, pretty good pair of shorts. The criticism I have are things that bother me, they may not bother other customers. The right side pocket with an inside zipper pocket is where I keep my cell phone so it doesn’t flop around. It’s very tight and hard to get a hand into. I think the side cargo pockets could use a better design. One that has an external cell phone pocket that is easy to access with one hand, yet securely holds the phone. I still love the shorts, that’s why I have three pairs. The newest pair I bought has some stitching missing on one of the corners of the pockets, so I’ll be calling customer service about that soon."

Items sizes and your return greedy policy.

"Your sizes are not made for the average man. Then you put all these shorts on clearance and the size doesn't fit. Then you will not accept a return for the correct size on the clearance items. And I because your sizes are bull and I will not order ever again from KUIU. You're not that different just your items and your return program is CRAP. To many other brands that are about the customer not just the greedy money takers. Lost this customer."
