"In Alaska, There is no such thing as bad weather. . Just bad gear. I no longer have this problem. The KUIU pants are wonderful gear & are perfect for extreme winters. Warm, good quality, versatile, fashionable, packable, & light. I look forward to donning my pants this season. Perfect pants

"Bought a pair of these for my daughter and also my son. (Wife and I already run them) We use them for stationary hunting whitetails out of stands and saddles on the cold days. They are very warm and easy to slip on at the tree without removing boots and gaiters. We sometimes hike pretty far and this simplifies layering for transitioning from a long hike with a pack to an all day sit to keep dry and as sweat free as possible and therefore warm. The best part is how packable they are. Till you get saddle/harness, food water, kill kit, and other gear, it starts to fill a pack fast. The goal is to come out heavy, so we try to keep the kits light and compact with anticipation of adding meat to the load on the way out. On cold days you need heavily insulated pants. Bibs will keep you warm but nothing comes close to the packability of these down pants. Also they are not too noisy for stationary hunting whitetails. Might be for stalking, but if you were moving much in these you would be overheated so I think it’s a moot point. Will be adding the super down pro jackets for both kids in the near future for the same reasons."
